Why did you decide to do an MBA?
I decided to do an MBA because I wanted to accelerate my growth as a leader and gain the broader business perspective needed to take on greater responsibility and impact. While my professional experience taught me how to execute effectively and work closely with people, I wanted to strengthen my strategic thinking and expand my understanding of business across functions. Just as importantly, I wanted to be part of a community that valued connection, collaboration, and leadership. Through my interactions with Ivey, I saw how strong that sense of community was, and that made the decision even more meaningful. I knew I wanted to be in an environment that would challenge me, support me, and help me grow.
What's been the most surprising aspect of the Ivey MBA journey to date?
The most surprising aspect has been how the Ivey MBA somehow makes you feel stretched and supported at the same time. I expected the pace to be intense, but I did not expect the experience to be so energizing because of the people around me. The combination of challenge, camaraderie, and constant learning has been the biggest surprise.
