Why did you decide to do an MBA?
Coming from a background in project management and tech delivery, I got to a point where I knew I wanted more than just the next job title. I wanted to lead differently—to think more strategically, make a bigger impact, and be part of the conversations that shape real change. I’ve had the opportunity to manage complex projects and work with some incredible teams, but deep down, I knew I was ready to grow into someone who could help drive innovation, not just deliver it.
Being a woman in tech, there were times I questioned whether I truly belonged in certain spaces. That feeling pushed me to take a step back and ask myself what kind of leader I wanted to become. That’s what led me to the MBA. I wanted to build my confidence, sharpen my strategic thinking, and grow into a leader who not only gets things done but also uplifts others along the way.
What is the most significant thing you've learned at Ivey?
For me, it’s been how much you can learn just by listening to others. The case method throws you into real business scenarios, which is already super engaging, but what makes it really special is the people you’re learning alongside. Everyone comes from such different backgrounds, and the perspectives shared in class constantly make me think, “Wow, I never would’ve seen it that way.”
It’s pushed me to slow down, really listen, and be more open to ideas that challenge my thinking. I’ve realized that great leadership isn’t about having all the answers; it’s about asking the right questions, staying curious, and learning from the people around you.
