Why did you decide to do an MBA?
I came to Ivey because I wanted to take what I'd built at Goldman Sachs and Shopify and apply it at a larger scale.
I'd spent four years being the bridge between strategy and execution, aligning cross-functional teams, building deep client relationships, and driving measurable outcomes. I helped grow assets under management by $400M at Goldman and turned around disengaged clients worth millions at Shopify. But I kept coming back to the same question: how do I sharpen my strategic thinking and apply this capability to bigger, more complex problems across industries and geographies?
The MBA was the answer. Ivey's case method has pushed me to think differently in ways I didn't expect. Leading the LEADER Project as MBA Executive Director has let me combine my passion for helping businesses scale with my commitment to creating global impact. And being surrounded by ambitious, curious, mission-driven classmates has reminded me why I love this work in the first place.
I came here to grow. And I'm leaving ready to solve problems that matter, at a scale that matters.
What is the most significant thing you've learned at Ivey?
The most significant thing I've learned at Ivey is how to think strategically under pressure. The case method forces you to make decisions with incomplete information, defend your reasoning, and adapt when someone in the room sees something you missed. That's exactly what the real world looks like. I came here knowing how to execute well, and I'm leaving knowing how to think several steps ahead, across stakeholders and contexts, in ways I couldn't before.
