Why did you decide to do an MBA?

When I moved to Canada about two years back, I made an exciting industry transition. While starting to work in the Canadian Banking space, I realized that there is so much more I need to learn about the Banking industry and attain a more holistic understanding of the world around me. Hence, I decided to pursue an MBA to broaden the toolkit that would allow me to spread my wings in my career.

What is the most significant thing you've learned at Ivey?

The most significant thing that I've learned at Ivey is the ability to appreciate and respect diversity! Ivey MBA welcomes excellent candidates from all across the world. Sitting in a class with people from different backgrounds and ethnicities is nothing but surreal. I have made friends from different cultures and in the end, have learnt that we are all so beautifully the same.

What's been the most surprising aspect of the Ivey MBA journey to date?

The most surprising aspect of the Ivey MBA journey to date is that it is life-changing, and I mean it! I joined Ivey with a determination to learn the subjects, the theories, and the concepts but coming here made me realize that this journey is so much more than that! It transforms you - you gradually feel the difference in yourself. You learn to hone your professional and personal skills every day at Ivey. I am amazed by the variety of growth-based tasks I have done so far, and have made many lifelong friends.
