Scholarship & Fellowship Partners

Ivey is proud to partner with several organizations to offer financing support for incoming MBA students by way of exclusive scholarships and fellowships. Students will apply for these awards on their admissions application. Recipients will be chosen by the admissions committee and if selected, will be notified at the time of their offer.

Lean In Canada Scholarship

(Up to 7 scholarships per year)

Ivey is proud to be the exclusive education partner of Lean In Canada. Co-founded in Toronto by Ivey alumna, Lean In Canada is a community of professional women empowering each other to build purposeful and fulfilling careers. The organization is for professional women who are passionate about driving their careers forward to the next level and beyond, and who want to achieve greater success not only in work, but in life as a whole.

To be considered for one of our Lean In Canada scholarships (minimum value $20,000), candidates must be a member of Lean In Canada. Other selection criteria may include, but is not limited to:

  1. Previous involvement and/or passion for leading initiatives that empower professional women.
  2. Preference given to those who have previously been involved with the Lean In Canada organization.
  3. Intention to become involved with Lean In Canada, as well as Ivey Women in Management Club.
  4. Preference given to those in earlier stages of their career (2-4 years of work experience).

Reaching Out MBA (ROMBA) Fellowship

(Up to 2 Fellowships per year)

Reaching Out MBA Inc. has a singular purpose to empower LGBTQA MBA students to become professionals who will lead the way to equality in business education, in the workplace, and throughout society. As a ROMBA partner school, Ivey is eligible to award up to two fellowships valued at a minimum of $20,000 each.

The purpose of the ROMBA Fellowship is to:

  • Increase the number of students interested in promoting the empowerment and representation of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and ally (LGBTQA) students applying to and enrolling in business schools.
  • Provide recipients (“Fellows”) with unique opportunities to empower them to become leaders in business following graduation from business school.
  • Promote the mission of Reaching Out MBA Inc.

Selection criteria may include, but is not limited to:

  1. Previous involvement in LGBTQ+ initiatives.
  2. Intention to be actively involved with the Ivey Pride Club, preferably in a leadership position.
  3. A passion to empower LGBTQ+ classmates and allies.
  4. Drive to seek education and to educate, about LGBTQ+ inclusion within Ivey and the broader business community.

Forté Fellowship

(Up to 8 Fellowships per year)

As a partner school of the Forté Foundation, Ivey is able to offer a limited number of fellowships valued at a minimum of $40,000. The mission of the Forté Foundation is to Launch women into fulfilling, significant careers through access to business education, professional development, and a community of successful women.

Forté Fellowships are prestigious, competitive awards that are recognized within the business school community and beyond. Forté Fellows exhibit exemplary leadership, represent diverse backgrounds, and demonstrate a commitment to advancing women in business.

Selection criteria may include, but is not limited to:

  1. Exemplary leadership in one or more of the following: academic leadership, team leadership, community leadership, creative leadership, equity and inclusion leadership.
  2. Demonstrate a commitment to Forté’s mission of launching women into fulfilling, significant careers through access to business education, opportunities, and a community of successful women.
  3. Intention to pursue a leadership role with Ivey Women in Management Club.
  4. Willingness to serve as a Forté Brand Ambassador and be a voice for Forté on your campus, including working with the Recruiting team to recruit more female MBA students.

Preference may be given to those who also meet the following criteria:

  1. Member of the Forté MBALaunch Program.
  2. U.S. Citizens (including dual citizenship).
  3. Minimum of 4+ years of work experience.

Entrepreneurship Fellowship

(Up to 2 Fellowships per year)

In partnership with Ivey’s Pierre Morrissette Institute for Entrepreneurship, we are pleased to offer a limited number of Entrepreneurship Fellowships valued at a minimum of $40,000. These fellowships were established to encourage incoming MBA students to pursue their entrepreneurship passions, and support them in their endeavors towards launching innovative new ventures. Recipients for the Entrepreneurship Fellowship will be decided in partnership with the Institute, following a phone interview with the Executive Director of the Pierre Morrissette Institute for Entrepreneurship.

Selected Fellows will be required to meet the following requirements during the program:

Recipients of the Fellowship will receive access to exclusive support from the Pierre L. Morrissette Institute for Entrepreneurship, including:

  • Privileged access to exclusive networking opportunities including 3x5 dinners with entrepreneurs (alumni and partners of the school).
  • Guaranteed enrolment in entrepreneurship elective courses.
  • Opportunity to complete independent study electives with entrepreneurial faculty members.
  • Privileged access to Graduate Student Innovation Scholars Program.

Selection criteria may include, but is not limited to:

  1. Applicants who have demonstrated a clear desire to pursue a career in entrepreneurship.
  2. Are currently or have previously launched their own start-up and/or experience with involvement in new ventures from inception/early stages.
  3. Demonstrated involvement in start-up community and/or significant achievements or interest in entrepreneurship and start-up space.
  4. Strong track record of success in academics, leadership and work experience.
