Looking back at module one, the year has been an incredible experience thus far. The first four months were filled with experiences of all kinds – meeting 135 new friends, completing 24-hour reports, Dragonboating, a three-day networking session in Toronto, case competitions, and much more. Ivey has certainly found a way to make each week challenging in its own unique way.
We’re two weeks into our second module of classes and things have certainly ramped up – as promised. August and September tend to be the busiest two months of the program as many of us prepare for fall recruiting. Not only are we spending time preparing for job applications and potential interviews, but we’re getting to know new learning teams, welcoming an incoming group of AMBA students, and are experiencing an increased workload in class. August is certainly living up to its reputation!
When I take time to reflect, I’m constantly amazed at how much my life has changed. I have gone from working as an engineering consultant one year ago to entering the ivey program and being exposed to a multitude of career options ahead. The challenging environment and unity of the class are two of the main reasons I chose the Ivey program and it excites me whenever I think about just how much we’re taking in over a short twelve months. I can’t wait to see what lies ahead…
