MSc IB + CEMS 2017
While I had been looking at several MSc programs in Management across the country, Ivey was at the top of my list. Its case-based learning method, class diversity, strong alumni network, and career management all contributed to reinforcing my choice. Honestly, joining Ivey was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Not only do I find the MSc program stimulating, but it is also a place where I can strengthen my analytical and decision-making skills, while learning about several industries and career paths.
Prior to coming to Ivey, I worked as a Business Analyst for one of the largest precasters in North America in both Montreal and São Paulo, Brazil. I was fortunate enough to immerse myself in a host family for a year to learn their culture and gain a working proficiency in the Portuguese language. Travelling is my biggest passion. Having backpacked in over twenty-five countries, I learned to adapt to unpredictable situations while cultivating an understanding of cross-cultural communication — an asset that has certainly helped me succeed in the program.
So far my journey at Ivey has been genuinely rewarding. I got to learn from experienced professors and students with diverse cultural and educational backgrounds. As part of the program, I have also worked in Business Development in India for a leading Supply Chain Management and third-party logistics firm — a life-changing opportunity.
My graduate journey does not end here. I will be pursuing my Master’s degree at UAI Chile and NOVA Portugal — two highly reputed business schools. I look forward to becoming fluent in Portuguese and Spanish as well as to my continuing learning and personal growth.
Thinking back at my journey at Ivey, it is unbelievable to think about how much I have already grown, the incredible people I have met, and the skills I have developed after having completed only half the program. If you are looking for a place to learn and push yourself to become a better leader, then Ivey is the right fit for you.
