MSc IB + CEMS 2017
I am currently pursuing an MSc in International Business with the CEMS Master of International Management designation, and over these sixteen months I have the opportunity to spend one semester working on a consulting project in an emerging market and two semesters studying abroad. After completing my first semester at Ivey, I spent my second semester working for a microfinance NGO in Nicaragua. I am currently in my third semester studying at the University of Sydney Business School in Australia, and then next semester I will venture to WU (Vienna University of Economics & Business) in Austria.
Before coming to Ivey, I completed my undergraduate degree at Concordia University in Montreal, with a specialization in Mathematics and Statistics. After participating in two study abroad terms at Newcastle University in England and Universidad de Navarra in Spain, as well as interning at Walt Disney World in Florida, I realized how much I enjoyed being in an internationally diverse environment, with the opportunity to meet people from around the world. I love travelling and learning about new cultures, and I am always excited to learn another language, which is why I decided to pursue the CEMS Master of International Management designation as part of the Ivey degree. At first I was nervous to start a Master’s in Business, since I had no previous experience in the field, and was worried that I would not be able to perform as well as my classmates. To my surprise, I discovered that most of my classmates also did not have the business background I was expecting. What they did have, however, was a wealth of captivating stories to share about their lives; incredible experiences of growing up, studying and working in diverse places across the globe. Their insights not only added to class discussions, but greatly benefited my overall learning experience. I am so lucky to be surrounded by such motivated, like-minded people whose aspirations and work ethic are a constant source of inspiration.
